Russell Mifsud is KPMG Malta’s Gaming Director. Russell has been involved with gaming and leisure businesses in advisory for his entire professional career and is a subject matter professional across the KPMG International network. Russell provides insight on industry externalities and commercial strategy for KPMG and our Gaming clientele across borders. Regulation, Growth Strategies, Responsible Gaming, Jurisdictional Assessments, Risk Consulting, ESG strategy and M&A are some of the key themes that he services operators, suppliers, affiliates and regulators within.

He is a founding member of a core group of professionals whom specialise in Gaming across the KPMG network globally. He leads multiple teams, budgets and deliverables for a portfolio of top tier organisations. Russell works closely with the Audit, Tax & Advisory teams locally and internationally in order to assist with identifying risks and opportunities, with a view to adding strategic direction to the industry and its stakeholders.

Russell has helped establish KPMG Malta as a Centre of Excellence across the KPMG global network and is at the forefront of emerging market opportunities. Russell has recently been listed as an “Emerging Leader of Gaming (ELG) 40 Under 40” in the US. His broad experience from having advised clients on corporate strategy, whilst serving as a subject matter professional across service lines gives him a unique perspective. He sits on the management board of the Malta Remote Gaming Council (MRGC) and is a Silicon Valletta board member. He founded the KPMG Malta eSummit and the KPMG Gaming Faculty.
