Francesco, born in Rome, is Playtechís Chief Policy Officer. He engages with policy-makers and stakeholders in both regulated and emerging markets. He advises the company on governmental policies at local, state, national and EU levels, with a strong focus on responsible gambling. From 2007 to 2016 Francesco worked for the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency as the online gambling regulator, helping build from scratch the national regulatory framework and leading the growth of the legal market from zero to over Ä1bn ñ making it the second largest in Europe. He alaso represented Italy at the Expert Group on Gambling Services established by the European Commission. Francesco has more than 20 yearsí experience in e-business related jobs. He began his career in IT, then worked in a variety of B2B roles for private companies, eventually specialising in international public affairs.

Membro del Team che ha catturato i primi virus writer italiani (2001 e 2003), bloccato le due crew di bad actor che avevano bucato NASA, Us Army, US Navy e oltre 1000 macchine governative in tutto il mondo (2001) ed ha effettuato le prime indagini in Italia su phishing e money laundering (2005-2006).
Nel 2009, ha contribuito alla creazione dell’European Electronic Crime Task Force, fondata da Poste Italiane, Polizia Postale e United State Secret Service, coordinandone i lavori sul piano tecnico-scientitico. E’ tuttora membro del New York Electronic Crime Task Force (NYECTF) dell'United States Secret Service.
Pre¬sidente dell’Italian Chapter di IISFA (associazione no profit che raggruppa gli specializzati in informatica forense), Professore a contratto in cyber security e digital forensics per alcune università, è relatore in diversi consessi tecnico-specialistici e altresì autore di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche su cybersecurity, cyberintelligence, digital forensics, compliance, Privacy, IT risk management, IT audit, criminalita’ informatica.
Ha conseguito, negli anni, alcune certificazioni internazionali, tra cui: Certified Information Forensics Investigator (CIFI), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Hacking Forensics Investigation (CHFI) e AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) riconosciute in ambito internazionale e conseguite rispettivamente presso l'IISFA International (www.iisfa.org), EC-Council, ISACA (www.isaca.org) ed Accessdata.
Laureato in Ingegneria Gestionale con un Master in Business Innovation Management, dal 2011 si occupa di ricerca all’interno del gruppo Osservatori Digital Innovation del Politecnico di Milano in ambito consumer, in particolare nel commercio digitale di beni e servizi fisici e virtuali.
Già Direttore dell’Osservatorio Gioco Online, ad oggi ricopre il ruolo di Direttore dell’Osservatorio Digital Content, nonché di Senior Researcher nell’Osservatorio eCommerce B2c.
Pieter Remmers is a veteran in the area of responsible gambling / safer gambling, consultancy and training of gambling industry professionals. He has been involved in projects with the gambling industry since 1989. Pieter started his career as the director of an outpatient clinic for addiction problems, Jellinek, in the early 80’s.
His company Assissa Consultancy Europe works/worked on responsible gaming policies and programs in a number of countries i.e. Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta, France, Sweden and others. He is also a very experiences trainer, over years of training and a registered MI (Motivational Interviewing) trainer. Besides Pieter is a consultant worldwide for as well as the gambling and betting industry land based and online, casinos, slot machine halls and lotteries and for regulators or other governmental bodies.
He works/worked with companies like: IGT/Lottomatica (USA, Italy), Holland Casino (The Netherlands), Kindred/ Unibet (UK , Malta), Sun International (South Africa), Svenska Spel (Sweden), Gauselmann/Merkur (Germany), Betsson (Sweden, Malta), Preasepe (UK), Fair Play Casinos (The Netherlands), Staatsloterij / Lotto NL (The Netherlands), Casino 2000 (Luxembourg), SNAI (Italy), Betfair (UK), Novomatic (Austria), JOA (France) and Industry Branche organizations like AWI (Germany), VAN (The Netherlands), ANESAR (Spain) European Casino Association (Belgium), European Lotteries (Belgium) and many more.

Currently he is very much involved in projects dealing with the problem of match fixing and AML and e-learning modules in different languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch).
He is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as Secretary General of the European Association for the Study of Gambling (EASG) since 1997. In this capacity he is also the organizer of a conference every two years somewhere in Europe which is a real meeting point for regulators, industry, researchers/academics and representatives from treatment organizations.
Furthermore he is a shareholder and board member of HANDS (Human Assistance Network for Daily Support, 24 x 7 counseling services).
In 2003 he was the initiator of G4 (Global Gambling Guidance Group). G4 deals with an International Accreditation System on responsible gambling for the gambling, betting and lottery industry land based and online. Since 2004 Pieter is the Chair of the Board of G4.
Since 2009 he is a member of the Responsible Gaming Committee of IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law) and since 2019 he is a member of the Responsible Gambling Committee of AGEM (Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers).
He is also a member of the Spielerschutzkommission (Responsible Gaming Commission) of the Gauselmann /Merkur Group, Germany and he is also on the advisory board of Merkur UK and a member of the Advisory Council of the AWI (Automaten Wirtschaft Industrie) in Germany.
Until recently he was a member of the International Advisory Panel of the Ministry of Health in Singapore.
Pieter is a very regular speaker at many conference all over the world and freelance correspondent for a number of gambling industry magazines.
Nato a Roma il 5 dicembre del 1961, inizia la carriera giornalistica nel 1984, collaborando per radiocronache, interviste e servizi tv con le emittenti romane Teleregione, GBR e Teletevere. Nell'86 entra nella redazione sportiva di Telemontecarlo per i Mondiali di calcio del Messico e viene successivamente assunto nell'87, diventando giornalista professionista nel 1989. È il telecronista dei Mondiali di Italia '90, Usa '94 e Francia '98, degli Europei di Germania '88, Svezia '92, Inghilterra '96 e Belgio-Olanda 2000 e della Coppa America di Cile '91, Uruguay '95, Bolivia '97 e Paraguay '99. Dal '90 al '95 è il conduttore della trasmissione domenicale Galagoal e, dal '96 al 2001, di Goleada (della quale è anche il responsabile dal '98). All'interno della redazione ha ricoperto le cariche di inviato, caposervizio e caporedattore. Dal 1998 al 2000 ha prestato la voce ai videogames FIFA con il grande amico Giacomo Bulgarelli. Dal febbraio 2006 al 2012 è stato dirigente della Federazione Italiana Tennis, con delega al Beach Tennis: ha ideato e organizzato il BTM tour ed è stato il Direttore delle ultime tre edizioni dei Campionati Europei e dei due Mondiali di Beach Tennis. Da settembre 2007 al dicembre 2008 ha condotto la trasmissione quotidiana, dal lunedì al venerdì, "Capital Sport" su Radio Capital. Da settembre 2008 è tornato a "Quelli che il calcio" e ha lavorato al canale della FIT, Supertennis, come consulente e conduttore del talk show, "Tennis Club". Da maggio 2008 alla fine del 2010 è Vicedirettore, con delega sul calcio, dei canali sportivi della piattaforma del digitale terrestre, Dahlia. A giugno 2010 è stato in Sudafrica per il Mondiale con collegamenti quotidiani per la trasmissione "Fratelli di Dahlia" e ha tenuto una rubrica quotidiana sul network radiofonico RTL. Durante la sua carriera, ha condotto diverse trasmissioni per alcune emittenti radiofoniche quali Radio 105, Radio Capital, RDS e RTL. Nel 2012 e 2013 è stato Direttore della Comunicazione degli Internazionali di Tennis di Roma. Da agosto 2013 a ottobre 2020 è stato il responsabile della redazione sportiva de "Il Messaggero". Dal 2018 ha lanciato il progetto "Cronista Digitale" per condividere segreti e suggerimenti con i tele/radio/web cronisti del futuro. Nel 2021 diventa ufficialmente consulente alle strategie di comunicazione del sottosegretario allo sport, Valentina Vezzali.

Russell Mifsud is KPMG Malta’s Gaming Director. Matteo Marini has been involved in the legal gaming sector for the last 20 years. Among the founders of the G.Matica concessionaire is today Admiral Gaming Network - in 2003, he was its President from 2010 to 2013. From 2013 until December 2022 he was its CEO. In the period 2015-2016 he held the role of President of the Acadi dealers' association, then a member of Confindustria SIT.
With a background in marketing and business administration, he is currently one of the administrators of Robox: holding company of the Marai Group and president of Optima Gaming Service. Also actively involved in the shopping center industry, member of the CNCC (National Council of Shopping Centers), coordinator of the Food & Leisure commission. He works as an advisor for retail chains and is vice president of two consortia.
